Caregiver Job Responsibilities

​

• As a caregiver with Journey Caregiving Services, responsibilities may include:

• Providing companionship and emotional support

• Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)

• Personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility assistance)

•  Meal preparation and light housekeeping

• Medication reminders

• Transportation to appointments and errands

•  Maintaining a safe and respectful home environment

• Following individualized care plans and documenting services accurately

Caregiver Job Requirements​

​

• Previous caregiving experience preferred

• Compassionate, patient, and dependable

• Strong communication skills

• Authorized to work in the United States

• Ability to pass background screening

• Reliable transportation preferred

Training & Professional Development

​

At Journey Caregiving Services, we prioritize ongoing education and compliance.

​

•  Completion of specialty care training (including dementia and advanced personal care when applicable)

• Participation in California state-mandated in-service training hours for Home Care Aides

•  Ongoing professional development and performance support​

Caregiver Pay & Benefits.

 

​At Journey Caregiving Services, we support our caregivers just as they support our clients.  

When you join ourteam, you can expect:

• Competitive pay: $17.00–$19.00 per hour, based on experience

• Flexible scheduling (part-time and full-time opportunities)

• Morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts available

• 24/7 team support for scheduling questions

• 24/7 assistance for client care guidance

• One-on-one in-home care with private clients

• Paid mileage reimbursement for qualifying travel
